With unemployment skyrocketing during the corona virus outbreak, many families find themselves needing help – especially food. The Jim Finks Foundation and Parents for Peace and Justice and Illinois Baseball Academy are partnering to help.
Together, we are hosting a food drive.
DATES: Tuesday, June 2 through Sunday, June 20.
WHAT TO DONATE?
These are the only types of items accepted:
NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS: Dry goods, canned items, non-perishables.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE ITEMS: Masks, hand-sanitizer and anti-bacterial clean-wipes
THREE WAYS to HELP
1. MAKE CASH DONATION to the Jim Finks Community Sports Foundation. Unless otherwise requested, all donations received from May 26 through Saturday, June 20 will go toward the Food Drive campaign. Click here to donate:
2. DROP OFF JUNE 9: On Tuesday, June 9 from 10:00 am to 3:00 p.m. Drop off your donation of non-perishable foods and personal protective items at Illinois Baseball Academy, 164 Northfield Road, Northfield, IL. Signs will be available for delivery.
3. Schedule a Pick Up: Email the Jim Finks Foundation to coordinate pick up date and time. jimfinksfoundation@gmail.com
Donations will benefit qualified families connected to Parents for Peace and Justice of Chicago, Funston Elementary School (a Chicago Public School) and the Belmont Cragin neighborhood.
