This is great defensive drill that we use at least twice a week.
The goal of the drill is to work on proper angles of pursuit.
See below. Each defender has a defined cone they run too.
1. Align the defense in the base set.
2. Set the cones as landmarks for each defender to target.
3. Add a player on sideline for QK pass.
This is great for getting in your end of practice conditioning. Coaching point: if you are chasing your own jersey you’ll never get to the ball carrier.
