SAMPLE DAY IN THE LIFE

Note: In addition to frequently scheduled hydration breaks, campers may rest, recover and rehydrate at any time during camp activities.  Our trainer and coaches will also monitor campers to assure they are well hydrated and healthy during the day.

9:00am -- Stretch, Warm-Ups, Motivation
It's Thursday and that means it's "Playoff Football Day." Our Camp Director gets things going with brief motivational speech.  They define the daily goals.  The need to keeping well-hydrated is emphasized by camp athletic trainer.

9:15am -- Speed and Agility
Campers work on the single most effective way to become a better athlete--build speed. We teach running form so each camper gets the most power and efficiency out of every running stride.  Lateral agility improves athleticism. The spirit is high.

9:30am-- Offensive Skills Stations
It's roll time.   Former Giants Wide Receive Stephen Baker (the Touchdown Maker) is on hand.  Campers are separated by age and experience level.  The morningıs focus is Wide Receivers and Tight Ends, so footballs are in the air.  Coaches have five stations operating; each led by an adult assistant coach.  The program rotates like class rooms in a school.

The Accelerated Skills group has an especially quick pace to their program.   Campers are getting great instruction and plenty of attempts to get it right.  The coaches are vocal and constantly reinforcing the positive moments.

11:10am --Skill Challenges
Each day, campers are challenged with the same testing drills NFL stars face.  Today they run the 40 yard dash for time.  Each camper applies the speed development techniques learned throughout the week.  In this case, they compete against themselves (rather than other campers) and hope to improve their personal best.  Additionally, campers take on the Punt, Pass and Kick challenge when not participating in the dash.

12:00 noon -- Lunch
We head indoors. Campers bring their own healthy lunch. A peanut free table is set aside.  Coaches and campers get to know each other in a more social setting.

12:15pm -- Camp Hero Conference
Super Bowl winning NY Giant Guard Bill Ard signs autographs and answers questions about his life in the NFL.  He talks about playing with the great Phil Simms during his career.  This is a perfect transition to our next feature.

12:30 pm--Super Bowl Glory: The Giants Win!
The Camp Director provides a profound introduction on Giant teams have overcome the odds and won it all!  The kids enjoy Giants Super Bowl success.

12:40 pm- Warm Up
Campers head outside again for the day's big events.  But first, elected captains lead the entire group in a 15 minute warm up.

12:55 pm -- Defensive Skill Stations
We quickly lock into defensive skill stations.  Everyone is working "Defensive Back Coverage."  Kids learn about quick pivots and breaking on the ball.  Feet are flying.  The camp looks ready for some game action.

1:35 pm -- Punt Return Challenge
For quick action and great competition, we break down into a quick punt return drill.  This is great fun and entertainment, with the dayıs most fleet footed rising to the top.

1:50 pm -- 5 on 5 Challenges
Game On!  Four games are going on with plenty of great action.   Young kids are really improving their ability to throw and catch.  Coaches note that "an upset" is in the making in the older group.  The noise level is loud and camp is a blast!

2:45 pm --Helmet Toss and Leadership Acknowledgements!
Coaches bring forward "total team players," leaders and big play makers of the day.  Each gets a chance to throw the football in hopes of winning the big prize team helmet.

3:00 pm -- Final Whistle
The Director gathers the group and reinforces the positive events of the day.  We break out into dismissal groups and send everyone home safe, happy and pretty tired.
