THEY SAID IT......

PARENT COMMENTS ON THEIR CHILDREN'S 2005 CHICAGO BEARS YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP EXPERIENCE....

My son loved the camp from the first day to the last. Our only problem was helping him through his disappointment when it ended! It was a great experience for him and I'm very happy that we were able to have him do it. I think that it is an experience to cherish and remember for a child with a strong interest in sports in general and football in particular.
Carol H.

My boys attended the camp last week and had a blast. They were at camp last year and will return next year with their younger brother.  The experience is great and they always have  stories to tell about how fun and nice their coaches were to them.  They especially enjoy the ex-pros that come in and instruct throughout the week.  My boys liked winning the skills competition a lot, since they like to measure themselves against others that are their ages.  Thanks for an awesome experience for the boys.
Jody C.

I thought the program was fantastic. My son loved it. He is 10. He thought it was very cool to be able to throw a pass to a pro ball player and they told him that was a good throw.  That was definitely his highlight.  I think the program was laid out appropriate for the day.  I know he would do it again.  Thanks for having the program.
Leslie W.

My son learned how important sportsmanship is through the games and role models like the coaching staff and pro football players.  The camp is one of the best.  It is an excellent opportunity for young sports lovers.
Soyoung J.

My son was very excited to meet all the former Bears players. He especially got along with/looked up to Mickey Pruitt. My son wants to be a linebacker with the Bears one day, so this experience was awesome for him. He learned a lot, not only about the game, but about professionalism and dedication to his sport.
Danelle A.

How sweet it is!  People the world around have found out about your camp and how much fun he had last week. His Godfather who is a surveillance reservist that was stationed to Kuwait last month and has been asking his wife for pictures of his 'only boy' they have 3 (maybe even 4 girls as she's expecting). He completely lost it when he saw him on the Fox news via mobile phone video and the picture on the Bears website.   I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful the coaches were.  None of them pushed the Moms to the side--that was fantastic.  It's good to see a good program working so successfully.   We can't wait until next year!
Sesalee B.

My son loved football camp this summer.  Thanks again for a great experience!  Thanks.
Cari L.

My son had a great experience at your camp.  He went one week, and when there were additional openings in the following weeks camp, he jumped at the chance to go.
Brett W.

My son attended the Barrington camp in July.  He had a fantastic experience and it is really paying off in Pop Warner football this fall.  It is almost as if a light switched on for him over the summer, and he is really applying the skills he learned in the camp over the summer.  He is already talking about camp for next summer. Great job by the coaching staff!
Mark B.

He attended Chicago Bears Football camp at Poe Elementary School in Arlington Heights this summer!!!!!!!!!!  By the way, he loved it and is now one of the quarterbacks for his football team this year!!!!! My son really enjoyed the program and all the instruction and exercise.  He came home tired each day which was great for him (and for me!).  He loved the Bears media guides and information.  We will be back next year.
Susie H.

My son who is 8 attended your camp in Schaumburg.  I was extremely impressed!  The coaches were knowledgeable and enthusiastic.  They were excellent role models for any child.  The skills the kids were exposed to at camp were about life, not only football.  I would put my son in any program Coach Harris was involved in!
V. Valentine

I was so impressed with this camp, I called the Monday after to let you know how awesome everything was. We had Coach Harris, and he was great. My son worked hard and had fun. I liked that the coaches were very professional.  I know my son will be looking forward to taking this camp next year.   Thanks for putting together a camp that the kids actually get something out of.
John K.

Both of my sons loved the Bears football camp. This is their first year playing football and with the 3 hour camp in the morning and their team practice for 3 hours in the evening they had a great introduction to the sport.  I wish they had the opportunity to have this kind of workout and coaching all summer!  It is amazing to me to see how the coaches were able to get all of the kids organized and motivated so quickly.
Sue B.

My son had a great time and learned a lot. He would like to attend next year as well. Everything was well done and there are no recommendations for improvement.   Thank You.
Mike P.

My son  really enjoyed the program.   This is his first year that he will be playing for the Wheaton Ram football program and I think your program gave him a great foundation to build on this season.   Thanks for a great experience!
Jeff G.

My son attended the camp and it was great. The coaches were absolutely terrific and gave my son a wonderful experience, as well as a lot of knowledge and training about a sport he really enjoys. A camp is only as good as the teachers and you have very good ones.  This was my son's second year at your camp and he will be back for another next year.
Neal B.

My son loved it.  He loved meeting the pros (even though he wasn't sure who they were until my husband explained).  He loved learning how to be a quarterback.
The Z. Family

Thought the coaches that ran the camp worked really well with the kids and my son came home knowing more about football and even more interested in the game than he already was.  First time attending this and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
JACKIE V.

The Coaching staff made it fun while they were learning. My son had a great time and learned a lot. It was a very positive learning experience.
Mike P.

We had a wonderful experience.  It is the 2nd year my son has done this camp and he already said he wants to do it again next summer.  He actually asked is there was another session he could take this summer!
Sue B.

Honestly, I don't what he did everyday or how organized the staff or activities were but I do know this: 1) my son came home happy every day and 2) we will probably sign up again.  Thanks for a great week.
Richele B.

He seemed to really like the guests that came to visit.  He also enjoyed the scrimmage.  All around,  this was an excellent experience for him. Thanks!
Shyla H.

I hope my son meets lots of Coach Harris's throughout his youth.  I appreciated his starting camp at 9 am sharp.  I really appreciated his insistence that my son look him in the eye while speaking with him.  Small incidents before/after camp--but it's clear-- here's a guy who pays attention to details--god bless 'em!  Would that all instructors be as good-natured as him....Thank you, Coach Harris and the rest of the coaching staff.
Julie C.

We would like to personally thank Coach Earl for the encouragement, motivation, and coaching he provided everyday.  He went out of his way to make him feel special and welcome.  He is still talking about the week and I am certain this experience will always be remembered.  He is really looking forward to starting football in a few weeks and I feel like this camp provided him with a strong foundation.  Thank you to all of the coaches and especially, Coach Earl!
Charlie A.

We appreciated the fact that Coach Harris was straightforward and ran a disciplined program.  Our son has ADHD and he has some background with special education which made it easier to explain our son's particular issues without having to go into the long explanations sometimes required.
Tom S.

It is too bad that the camp could not last longer (with a lower per week rate, of course!)  Overall, he had a wonderful time.  Thank you for everything!!
C. Scott

I know my son came home everyday extremely tired, but couldn't wait for the next day, so I would take that as a success.
Jill C.

We were very happy with the Chicago Bears Youth Football camp.  My 6 year old son had a great experience and wished that it was longer than 1 week.  He enjoyed meeting the players and learned new football skills.  We look forward to camp next summer!
Julie G.

I think this is a great program! My son really enjoys it and he gets him envolved in more physical activities.
Joe C.

My son had a great time at your football camp held at the New City YMCA.  He said it was the best time of his life.  We will definitely sign him up again next year.  Can you please e-mail me with your registration form for 2006 when it is available?  Thanks and enjoy the rest of your summer!
Karen C.

He enjoyed the camp.  He loved meeting the players.  He also liked getting autographs on his t-shirt.  He was unable to make the last class because we went out of town.  I think he would have enjoyed the Super Bowl game.  He mentioned several things he learned.
Mary R.

I think you guys do a great job!  The experience and exposure to real football players has made a huge impression on my son.  His goal is to play in the NFL and anything that works to keep his dream active is positive.  Thanks!
M. Cole

My sons did the LFB camp and had a terrific time. They learned a tremendous amount in 4 days and would do it again next year! Thanks for a great week.
Amy G.

Our son really enjoyed the week.  He spoke about it every day afterwards.
Tom L.

He indicated that he enjoyed the daily scrimmages at the end of the day. The "Awards Ceremony" the last day was nicely done and the crowd was kept under control which is difficult to do sometimes with so many young boys!
Tina K.

My son enjoyed all aspects of the camp and talked about it incessantly every evening when he got home! So, I'd have to say that the whole week was memorable.
Lauree G.

My son had a terrific time, and has already asked to be enrolled again in 2006. He enjoyed the coaches a great deal and I was really impressed with the way they related to the kids.  He will be back.
Guy L.

This was the second year for my son and just like last year it was the best football camp he has attended  he had lots of fun and learned new things to help him in the season. The coaches were all great and spent time with him . Thanks for a great week he will see ya next year!
Devin L. L.

My son went to the camp in Naperville and this past week in Downers Grove and he loved it.  He really liked the coaching staff.  He really wanted to go to the Burr Ridge camp this coming week, but I thought 3 weeks in a row would be a little too much for him.  He would definitely like to go next year, please keep us up to date for the upcoming events.
Kim V.

My son had a great week. The drills and teachings were very good for him. I felt that the drills were good experience and training for all sports not just football.  Have a nice rest of the summer.
Melissa P.

The Coaches were AWESOME!! They made my daughter feel like "one of the guys" - she didn't feel excluded! They taught her a lot! Thank you Coaches!!!
Debbie P.

I sent two boys ages 7 and 8 and they learned a lot and had tons of fun, and they don't even play football.  I was happy with the adult supervision as sometimes camps run low on supervision. This was a "Winner" all the way around.  Thanks so much.
Leslie C.

Besides being very hot, he had a great time. He attended camp in Evanston at Kingsley/Haven school.  He is 12 years old.  He would be willing to sign up for another session.  I would definitely recommend this camp to other kids.  The coaching staff was very knowledgeable and were able to relate to the kids very well.  Thank you for a great time!
James E.

The camp was very well organized.  Moving the kids around the multiple stations seemed to be key in keeping the kids engaged, especially with the extremely hot temperatures.  The coaches were very personable and made it a point to speak to the kids upon arrival and welcome them to the day.  I would highly recommend this camp.
Judy M.

What a great way to begin summer vacation.  He had a great time.  He especially loved meeting the rookie players, the scrimmages and the agility drills.  We are already looking forward to next year!
Stacy P.

What great quality time!  Coach V really made our son feel welcomed, even though he was over 150 miles from home! He has played football a couple years (in a very conservative mode), but this year he is feeling so much more confident with his ability that he has been the 'go-to-guy' and he's loving that!  Great work! Thanks for organizing this camp, increasing the kids skills while they can concentrate on the moves and not the incoming impact of the hit, and running an organized program.
J. B.
